The Durbanville Hills Tangram White 2024 has earned 95 points from acclaimed Master of Wine and international wine critic Tim Atkin MW in his 2026 South Africa Special Report. This is the first time the well-established South African winery has achieved a 95-point score from the renowned critic.

This latest recognition adds to an extraordinary run of accolades for The Tangram White. The 2024 vintage has also earned a five-star rating in the 2026 Platter’s South African Wine Guide and a Platinum medal at the 2026 Michelangelo International Wine and Spirits Awards.

Its predecessor, the 2023 vintage, was equally impressive, earning 96 points and Gold at the 2025 Decanter World Wine Awards, placing it among the top six Sauvignon Blancs in the world, and the only South African of that varietal to make the international top-six selection. It then earned 97 points, gold and a top ten overall placing at the 2025 Investec Trophy Wine Show.

But it wasn’t only the Tangram White that has captured attention as seven other Durbanville Hills wines scored 90 points or higher, showcasing the depth and consistency of the estate’s portfolio, from fresh, cool-climate whites to expressive reds.

The 2024 vintage is proving that this is more than a one-vintage success story. It’s a reflection of the consistency, care and character that go into every Durbanville Hills bottle.
